SUMMARY:Your old clothes are their happiness services
DESCRIPTION:Your Old Clothes Are Their Happiness Services is a community cl
othing drive that turns what you no longer wear into something a child or f
amily desperately needs. Every jacket\, shirt\, or pair of shoes sitting un
used in your closet carries the potential to keep someone warm\, dressed wi
th dignity\, and smiling. Through this service\, we collect gently used clo
thing from willing donors and deliver it directly to vulnerable children an
d families in underserved communities — making sure that nothing is waste
d\, and no act of kindness goes unnoticed. What's old to yo u becomes a new
source of comfort\, confidence\, and happiness for someone else.\n\n \nEv
ent Mission\n\n\n\nOur mission is to bridge the gap between excess and need
by transforming unused clothing into everyday dignity\, warmth\, and joy f
or vulnerable children and families. We believe that no piece of clothing s
hould sit idle in a closet when it can protect a child from the cold\, rest
ore someone's confidence\, or bring a smile to a family struggling to make
ends meet. Through community-driven collection and direct distribution\, we
aim to reduce waste\, strengthen compassion within our communities\, and e
nsure that every donated item reaches the hands of someone who truly needs
it — turning simple generosity into lasting happiness \nWhy Children Lac
k Clothes in Our Society\nAcross many communities\, especially in low-incom
e and rural areas\, children often grow up without enough clothing to meet
even their basic needs. This isn't always because families don't care — i
t's usually a matter of survival priorities. When a household is struggling
to afford food\, school fees\, or medical care\, clothing quickly becomes
 a luxury rather than a necessity.\nA few reasons this happens:\n\nPoverty a
nd limited income — Many parents or guardians simply cannot afford new cl
othes as children outgrow old ones\, especially in large families.\nRapid g
rowth stages — Children outgrow clothes every few months\, making it expe
nsive to keep replacing wardrobes\, particularly for school uniforms.\nRura
l and remote locations — In places like Kitgum and other Northern Uganda
districts\, access to affordable clothing markets is limited\, and transpor
t costs add further burden.\nOrphaned or vulnerable children — Children w
ithout parental support\, or those in child-headed households\, often have
no one providing for their basic clothing needs.\nDisasters and displacemen
t — Floods\, conflict\, or sudden relocation can leave families with noth
ing but the clothes they're wearing.\nSeasonal challenges — Without prope
r clothing\, children face health risks during cold seasons or rainy period
s\, and may even skip school out of embarrassment over worn-out uniforms.\n
\nThe result is that many children face reduced self-esteem\, poor school a
ttendance\, and health vulnerabilities — all stemming from something as b
asic as not having enough clothes to wear.\nThis is exactly the gap that Yo
ur Old Clothes Are Their Happiness Services aims to close — by redirectin
g unused clothing from those who have more than enough to children who have
  far too little.
